Because Bassetlaw Hospital’s Breastcare services have been so successful and need a makeover they are now launching an appeal to raise £250,000 to provide bigger and better services – and we at the Clumber Park Hotel are backing it all the way!

The number of women going for breast screening at the hospital is expected to increase from 3700 in 1999 to 5700 in 2015, meaning the hospital needs space to expand as innovations in treatments transpire.

We have set ourselves a target to raise £25,000 in 12 months, helping towards the final target of £250,000. Already £9,500 has been raised, but there is still a long way to go.

We kicked off our fundraising with a Beatles tribute night, which was attended by Emmerdale’s Chastity Dingle, aka actress Lucy Pargeter. Following this we hosted an array of highly successful events, including a sportsman’s dinner, a second Beatles tribute night and most recently a Peter Kay night.

A variety of fund raising activities have been arranged for the coming year, culminating with a lavish Dinner Dance on Friday 26th October to mark the appeal’s first anniversary.

On top of these events we are also adding an optional donation of £1 to our guests bills on their departure.
