Take a step back in time to a bygone age and experience the breathtaking Robin Hood countryside nestling on our doorstep. We’re just a short arrow’s flight from the vast acreage of some of the world’s most famous woodlands at Sherwood Forest. Did the outlaw hero Robin Hood and his band of Merry Man really prowl these glades? One thing is certain, there is no shortage of trails and self-guided walks in this home of one of our most enduring legends. We have tailored two special packages:
Arrive at out hotel at your leisure on Friday afternoon; enjoy an overnight stay and a hearty walkers’ breakfast made with the finest local produce; and then pick up your packed lunch for your day of exploration.

Join us early on Sunday for a morning walk, before returning to the hotel for a traditional Sunday carvery lunch in the Dukeries’ Tavern – the place where the Beatles’ famously stopped off for lunch when touring at the height of their fame in the 60s. Check into your room and relax for the rest of the evening. In the morning, enjoy the perfect start to the day with one of our special breakfasts – before either heading off home or enjoying many of the other leisure attractions nearby that the heart of Nottinghamshire has to offer.
